If you look at the Main Menu bar on the top of this site, you see a new element of "Vierumäki Blog". This blog is regularly updated (usually biweekly) by our student in Vierumaki, Finland. His name is Timo Frondelius and he takes part in the International Ice Hockey Federation and the Finnish Ice Hockey Association accredited Degree Program of Sports and Leisure Management. If you would like to know more on the Degree Program or on how Ice Hockey management is thought in one of the top-courses in the sport, visit the blog and feel free to ask questions from him.

Timo is the first student sponsored by the Singapore Ice Hockey Association to take part in the program. We are proud, that we can sponsor a student in the School who will join our team of hockey enthusiasts here in Singapore, bringing knowledge from such a unique environment. He not only get's to know the sport by books, but move in such surroundings, that will be valuable to the sport here in Singapore. Updates behind the scenes
With the new season gaining on us we have done a few fundamental modifications on our backend system. We are working tighter than ever before with the International Ice Hockey Federation and the Singapore Sport Council, this shows on various fields of the Singapore Hockey. Not only are we to introduce a new coaching program as the rink opens (read more about it here), but you see the IIHF based Schedule and Stats on our webpage for Mens (here) and Youth Leagues (soon to follow). This is a fundamental change, we have done and now it's easier and faster than ever before to get statistics, results, schedules for these games.

Note: bare in mind, that since the League preparations haven't been finalized quite yet, nor have the players been drafted, the Schedule is more or less a draft, of what it's going to be, once everything is in piece.

Stay tuned, for we are looking forward for an all new way of organizing and running the ice hockey events in Singapore.

The Singaporean Ice Hockey Association is to launch it's first ever coaching program with the International Ice Hockey Federation and the Singapore Sports Council, right here in Lion City, at the brand new JCube rink.
